These guys are great, and they have taken care of several of my cars over the years. I'm leaving five stars because they deserve it, but I am concerned with the new method of pumping the oil out of the engine instead of pulling the plug and letting it drop with gravity. In the old days we would even rinse it out with a half quart before filling it up again to clean out all those little bits and pieces. Vacuuming it out might make for easy oil removal, but I'm concerned it's allowing all those little bits and pieces (that we do in oil change for) to remain in the engine. I'm no mechanic, but I'm a pretty smart girl. I might take my car somewhere else next time just cuz of that.
Mahalo Coach Victoria for your 5-Stars that you gave our Fast Lube Team. The TEAM does work hard. I understand your concerns. I've actually watched the drain and refill process vs the vacuum pump process. The vacuum eliminates everything in the oil tank. If you were to unplug the drain after the vacuum does it's evacuation, there is no oil coming out of the bottom. Do a google search and read the comments. But, if you don't feel comfortable about the process.... Just so you know, you can also schedule an oil change at our Lex Brodie's Tire & Service Center, we do oil changes there the "old method" by drain & gravity. Thank you again for your business. Safe Travels! Aloha.... Anita @ Lex
