Customers ask,"DO I REALLY NEED A WHEEL ALIGNMENT?" Alignment assures your tires meet the road at the proper angle. It adjusts the angles of your vehicle’s wheels to original specs for best gas mileage, proper road contact, a smooth ride, and the longest tire life. We recommend an alignment after the installation of new tires or any suspension work. Keep in mind though that alignment adjustments on your vehicle do not last forever. If you hit a pothole or curb really hard, you may risk the chance of kicking your alignment out of spec. Best to get your vehicle check so that you don't risk the chance of wearing out your tires prematurely. Proper wheel balancing is required to allow the wheel to spin without any vibrations so that your vehicle handles at peak performance. Unbalanced wheels can cause stress on the wheel bearing and components of the suspension. This can also cause increase gas usage. Wheels that are not properly aligned and balanced, can lead to premature wearing and decrease in tire life

During the month of December, Lex Brodie’s Tire of the Big Island conducted a Holiday Food Drive.  Lex Brodie’s Tire gave our customers a discount on their tires if they brought in non-perishable food items for the Hawaii island Food Basket. The Hilo and Pahoa Lex Brodie's locations collected 671 lbs of food while the Kona and Kamuela locations collected 511 lbs for a total well over 1100 lbs.
