Waimea
I started my day driving from oceanview Hawai’i on the big island to lex Brodie’s in Kona, 1-1/2 hour away - I was informed that my particular tire was available in Waimea lex Brodie’s , the Kona desk clerk checked the computer and assured me the tires were there and requested the store set those tires aside. I then drive 1 more hour to Waimea from Kona to the lex Brodie’s in Waimea, the desk clerk was aware of the earlier request and made a physical confirmation of my particular tire being available for purchase . I was wanting to replace all 4 tires. I then waited for 2 hours and the service guys finally got my work van up on the lift and the old tires off. This is when they realized that they did not in fact physically have the tires I was wanting to purchase for replacement . I was then given the option to wait for a technician to drive to Hilo and bring back the 4 tires I was wanting to buy , or I could drive to Hilo and allow the Hilo lex Brodie’s to install the 4 new tires . Before I left Waimea I called the Hilo store to confirm that the store had physically checked for those tires . I was again assured that the store had those tires . So I drove an hour and a half to Hilo to the lex Brodie’s and checked in with the front desk . It is now 2 hours since arriving and my work van has very slowly been worked on . The service techs have kept it on the ground and are slowly using floor jacks to remove the old tires and install the new tires. It seems my van is being worked in for several minutes at a time between jobs - that’s over 8 hours and 3 stores and my work truck is still not ready to be taken away . Im honestly not sure how I feel about this whole ordeal except I find it unprofessional and very disappointing . I have not been offered any compensation of any kind for my inconvenience . I work for a local company and we have several work vans that need maintenance. I’m having a hard time wanting to continue to bring any of my vehicles back to lex Brodie’s for any service . I felt it important enough to reach out and inform you of a bad scenario and allow you to come up with a solution preventing this from happening to anyone else. A malasada would of been nice - Mahalo for your time . Feel free to reply or contact me with further questions . Paul Moore Much mahalo auntie Anita for responding so quickly to my review - you were the sunshine to my day -!! And thank you for the free oil change and two free car washes ! I will gift them to my wife -! Our island is a small island and it’s better to be kind understanding neighbors than to be angry or bitter - some Fay’s things happen - today was one of them - but you showed me that Lex Brodie’s does care about their customers experience ! I will be back - next time I’ll bring the malasadas -!!
Thank you Paul for your Feedback and for taking my call. Again, we apologize for our shortcomings and for taking up precious time in your busy day. I will be following up with you on what I promised. We appreciate your business and I owe you a box of Malasadas! Aloha.... Anita =)
