Pahoa
I have been a customer since 2005 at this store but I am recently disappointed with the service I have received my last three visits to the Pahoa store. I purchased four new tires and after discovered the dome dust cap on my front right tire was smashed completely into a concave. I was told the mechanic had difficulty taking it off to change the tire, but by smashing it in? The next time I went in for my oil change I noticed one of my Gorilla nuts was missing and some of the caps from two other nuts were sheared off or cracked. I was told they must be old and that it happens, if I wanted they would order and sell me new ones. This same oil change was the biggest disappointment by far, it seems the same oil filter is still on and the car oil was overfilled. My idle wants to die out, I have stalled out in traffic over 10 times in one day, and on the fourth morning after leaving work at 1:00am traveling from Hilo to Hawaiian Shores my car died completely. There does not seem to be anything malicious, but I wish something will be done besides someone saying, "Were sorry, however, we can give you an estimate for how much it will cost you to repair any damages." I was afraid while driving my car yesterday after they drained the excess oil and after filling gas, out of fear someone would T-bone me when crossing the Shipman intersection at 4:00 pm trying to get to work via the Panaewa section of the highway coming into Hilo, in the event my car stalled.
Hello Gary.... Sorry for the late reply. From my understanding you did go back to the Pahoa Store to speak to the Store Manager. Burtis Porter and his team was able to drain the extra oil from your vehicle. It was a 1/4 of a quart too full. We apologize for that. They also gave you a free diagnostic for your stall out issue. It had to do with your vehicles intake system. We hope you got this taken care of so that you feel safer driving your Ford Explorer. Mahalo for your business and your understanding. Aloha.... Anita and the Pahao Team =)
