I called several automotive companies in Hilo regarding AC repair on my Honda CR-V. One company came back to me with quotes while the others did not. Since I live in Pahoa area, I decided to call Lex Brodie of Pahoa. I spoke with the manager, Cliff, over the phone & he patiently listened to my frustrations regarding the high cost AC estimation repair for compressor of what was quoted from the other auto company. Cliff quoted me an affordable repair cost. When I met Cliff in person to have my car serviced, he was just as friendly, patient. The AC works excellent & although they had to repair an additional problem of shredded wires, the price was affordable. He even had staff provide transportation for me as it took 7 hrs of repair. The other staff Ivy & Jared were very friendly & helpful as well. The waiting lounge was clean & I was able to monitor what shows I wanted to see on TV; had ample outlets to plug in my iphone charge. From now on, I'll go to this company for my auto repairs. 1 person voted for this review

Overall experience was a steady Good-Great! The "Uncle" mechanic/Pop of the Shop! Had a lot of knowledge and experience.The woman in the the front Ivy I think.. was very kind and and personable. She was upfront and helped me and my family ID the right tires at a competitive price. Lounge is quaint with recliners, A/C, cable and Coffee! Thank you Pahoa Lex Brodies.Sam H.

I can only speak to my experience with their customer service and oil changing skills as I haven't had any major work done. Their customer service is amazing, so incredibly nice and easy to work with. And their oil changes have been efficient and thorough, they always go over any issues they noticed during the oil change. We always take our truck to Lex Brodies when something we can't do ourselves and each time we drive away happy customers...The staff is always kind,knowledgable and very professional..and they are at a very convenient location for us..

You can't go wrong at Lex Brodie's in Pahoa. In fact, they are so popular and convenient, that the company would be well-served by adding a few service bays to the five they have now. I suspect they would stay busy. Personally, I am very happy with the professional staff and quality of service, and it's so nice not having to drive to Hilo anymore. My only suggestion would be to dedicate a stall and a technician to safety checks, and include tire tread and pressure checks - as well as to offer reasonably priced headlight aiming service and new wiper blade sales and installation at the same time. Definately the best service on the island. As I pulled into the parking lot, I was met by a service rep . Pretty hard to beat that !! I get in and back out in record time, and receive quality work.

Open Saturdays! Very convenient for those working during the week. I've used several of their services and really can't complain. Friendly service with good suggestions, as another reviewer mentioned the people working here don't seem to be trying to sell you something, but rather offer up affordable alternatives. I enjoy coming here for my vehicle needs and the location is great if you're living in the Puna area and don't feel like driving all the way to Hilo. Also, now that Pahoa has more little shops in this area you can spend some time browsing the shops or grabbing a bite to eat while you wait. 2 people voted for this review
